Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie to host Lone Stars & Stripes Fireworks Celebration
The annual Lone Stars & Stripes Fireworks Celebration takes place with two special nights of spectacular fireworks on Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4 following the live races at Lone Star Park, which begin at 5 p.m. on both days. Each 20-minute show will be choreographed to a rousing patriotic soundtrack provided by KVIL radio (103.7 FM), Lite FM, on Friday, July 3 and KPLX radio (99.5 FM), The Wolf, on Saturday, July 4.
One lucky customer will drive away in a brand new 2009 Chevy Silverado on Friday, July 3. Customers will be able to come out to Lone Star Park and enter daily Thursday, June 18 through Friday, July 3. Customers will receive an entry form at the admission gates to enter the contest. Ten finalists will be given a key to try and open the door of the truck. The person with the key that opens the door will win the truck! Entries will be given out at the admission booths from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Pavilion Thursday - Sunday and at the Grandstand admission booths during live racing hours. Customers will complete their official entry form and submit it in one of the designated contest bins for their chance to win. All entries must be received before the official entry deadline of 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 3. One entry per person per live racing day.

On July 4, Lone Star Park will be giving away a trip for two to the NASCAR Sprint Cup race at the Homestead-Miami Speedway in Florida on Sunday, Nov. 22 (includes round trip airfare, hotel and race tickets for two). Customers will receive an entry form at the admissions gate to enter the contest. All completed entries must be placed in the designated contest bins by 2:00 p.m. One winner will be drawn from all the entries received.

In addition to the fireworks and racing there will be plenty of additional entertainment for the whole family such as pony rides, a petting zoo, bounce house, live entertainment, arts and crafts vendors and much more. General Admission is just $5 for adults, $3 for children ages 4-13, with children three and under admitted free.
