Addison residents witness to duck-related sexual violence
Addison residents are witness to a disturbing practice in Les Lacs Lake because there aren't enough female ducks. The male ducks end up "ganging up" on the females, often killing them in an attempt to mate. The city will offer an informational session to dissuade residents from feeding the ducks, which can increase aggressive behavior. They'll dissuade residents further by fining $2,000 if found feeding a duck on the lake.

I wonder if this species of duck has the corkscrew vagina feature? If so, only if the female is willing and relaxed will their be sufficient access for fertilization. Thus thwarted the male then kills the female. An article on this from last May 2007:
