San Francisco Giants 2, Texas Rangers 1 (11 innings)
The Texas Rangers continued to find new ways to lose Saturday night, giving up a crucial wild pitch run in the eleventh inning of a 2-1 loss to the Giants in San Francisco. The loss was the third in a row for Texas, and dropped them to 37-40 on the season.

The punchless Rangers offense failed against the Giants.
In the bottom of the eleventh, Rangers pitcher Jason Jennings threw a wild pitch that allowed San Francisco's Nate Schierholtz to score from third. Jennings fell to 2-3 with a 3.44 ERA on the year.
Rangers starter Derek Holland had perhaps his strongest outing of his rookie season, allowing just one run on four hits over seven quality innings. Holland, who walked one and struck out five, lowered his ERA dramatically to a mere 5.77.
There was little offense to be had from the Rangers lineup, which collected a paltry three hits over 11 innings. Only Ian Kinsler seemed to show up at all, going 2-for-4 with a home run in the sixth inning that represented all of Texas' offense. Kinsler also drew a walk and stole his 14th base of the season.
