Omega’s Tex-Mex in Dallas’ Deep Ellum closed, Sol’s Taco Lounge got its liquor license
DALLAS Note from a Pegasus News user:
Omega's Tex-Mex in Deep Ellum. Stopped by for lunch today, found a "For Lease" sign in the front window and the place cleaned out. Phone number is disconnected. Can you find out what happened? Thanks.
Actually, when you call the number we have, 214-744-6842, it rings and rings. But Nancy says it's cleaned out and up for lease. (She also says she misses their greasy thin chips already, but that doesn't really seem germaine to this item.)
The folks at Sol's Taco Lounge say that Omega's was still open last week until the middle of last week, and then bing, Thursday, they were gone.
Speaking of Sol's Taco Lounge, they'll be getting their liquor license back on July 2. The restaurant was bought a couple of months ago by Carlos Reyna, who's been Sol's morning cook since it opened 15 years ago, and is still doing the cooking, even though he is now also the big-shot owner.
So that's a nice happy ending to an otherwise sad story. Where one flower dies, another grows. Or something like that.

I'm not sure exactly when it closed, but it was sometime before June 9th. I planned to eat there prior to the Little Joy show at Club Dada, but no dice. :(

Does anyone know if there is a new restaurant going in at The Galleria where Sushismba was? I work in the Towers there and live accross the street. Is Northpark ever going to run out of space?Every floor in the mall has empty space available, that mall needs a great draw, any ideas? It is a Dallas landmark lets keep it that way.
