Dallas ISD has to shell out $750,000 and drop $150 million in federal technology funding requests after it was alleged that the district misused the Federal Communications Commission's E-Rate program aimed to help needy schools and libraries. The settlement is part of the kerfluffle surrounding Ruben Bohuchot, former DISD technology chief who was sentenced to 11 years in prison for money laundering and bribery.
