Long-time restaurateur Mark Maguire will be sworn in as the new Texas Restaurant Association’s President on June 29 at the Southwest Foodservice Expo.
Maguire, who has opened four restaurants in the Dallas area over the past 10 years, including MAGUIRE’S Restaurant & Bar in North Dallas, Maximo Cocina Mexicana & Margarita Lounge near the Galleria, and Rise N⁰1 in Inwood Village, has been a director for TRA for 10 years and is thrilled with his new honor.
“It is an honor to have the opportunity to lead an association which represents the industry that is the cornerstone of our economy, career opportunities and communities,” Maguire said.
The Southwest Foodservice Expo will be held from June 28-30 at the Dallas Convention Center. As the largest food-service tradeshow in the region, Expo brings together all aspects of the industry for three days of business, networking, education, and fun.
“Our expo is the second largest trade show in the country next to the NRA show in Chicago, and it alternates annually between Houston and Dallas,” Maguire said. “It is the convergence of all the best and newest in our industry. The chef demonstrations and barista competitions are hugely entertaining, and the seminars and speakers are always enlightening and informative. It is definitely the place to be for anyone in the foodservice industry.”
