Tre Amici, steakhouse in North Dallas, to become Tre Amici Parkway Grill
North Dallas steakhouse Tre Amici has refashioned itself as Tre Amici Parkway Grill, with less expensive dishes and less of a hands-on participation on the part of chef Tim Soufan.
Owner Scott Larson confirmed that Soufan would be devoting more time to his consulting practice and spending less time day-to-day at the restaurant, but was still involved, including his role in the redesign of the menu.
"He gets called on a lot to do concept development for other restaurant chains and he’s been expressing interest in doing more of that," Larson said. "Running a restaurant, for a guy like this, it's hard to hold him back from his other consulting capabilities."
Larson said he'd been working on repositioning the restaurant into the casual-dining arena and the result was the name change.
"We're in process of re-doing the log, and are working on a menu with a price point that'll be $14 to $29 for an entree, and still have steaks but more flexibility on pricing there too," he said.
Tre Amici was previously Fruia's Tre Amici, and before that was Rick Stein's.
