— Kincaid’s signed a five-year lease renewal, with multiple five-year options to renew, with building owners at the original Kincaid’s location off Camp Bowie Boulevard in Fort Worth.

The family-owned and operated Kincaid’s, “Where Friends Meet to Eat,” has occupied the original location at 4901 Camp Bowie Blvd. since September 1946 and has remained a Fort Worth favorite since its conception. The original location began as a grocery store with a full-service meat market where hamburgers were sold and has since become a DFW restaurant staple.

“Kincaid’s is happy to announce that after 19 months we have resolved the lease issue at the original store on Camp Bowie Blvd.,” Ron Gentry, Kincaid’s president and owner said. “The lease, accepted by the probate judge, is for five years with multiple five year options to renew. In celebration, Kincaid’s is planning an event to thank our customers for their support during the long negotiations. The event will occur in the fall and will coincide with Kincaid’s 63rd anniversary at the Camp Bowie location. Celebration details will follow.”

Kincaid’s has five locations across Dallas/Fort Worth with plans to open three more locations in Texas by fall 2010.
