Tarrant County College appoints vice chancellor as interim chancellor
As noted, Tarrant County College Chancellor Leonardo de la Garza worked out an agreement with college administrators under the terms of which he will be stepping down from his leadership of the system.
To fill his position temporarily (after his official last day on the job: June 30), trustees voted to appoint Vice Chancellor Erma Johnson Hadley as interim chancellor.
Hadley is a 41-year veteran of the Tarrant County College system.
At his going-away reception (Monday evening, June 29) de la Garza reportedly "sang a sentimental Spanish song and played a harmonica solo."
