Allen woman finally divorces the husband that hired a man to kill her
As noted in 2006, Albert Jackson Sterling II was tried and convicted of solicitation of capital murder in relation to his wife and unborn child; he'd been carrying on an affair with a younger woman and presumably thought this might be a viable solution to his dilemma.
Sterling's wife, Roxane - who, against all reason, stood by him at his trial - has just completed divorce proceedings and changed her name back to its maiden value of Johnson. She isn't saying whether this results from a sudden clarity of thought on the matter, or whether it's merely a bow to practicality. (Her spouse of seven years is, after all, behind bars for the foreseeable future.)
Her ex-husband's lawyer thinks it might just be the latter.

I know divorce can be expensive, but it's certainly not as expensive as life in prison.
