Fort Worth Star-Telegram raises newsstand price to $1
The Fort Worth Star-Telegram is raising its prices: up from 50 cents to $1 for newsstand copies, and up from $1.50 to $2 for the Sunday edition. They're following the lead of the DMN.

If their intent is to follow the DMN's lead in declining circulation, that would be the way to do it. What other business raises its prices in the face of falling demand?

Happened overnight, it seems. I sell the Star-telegram at a bookstore, and one day I was selling for 50 cents and the next day one dollar. I had heard that it was coming, but I didn't know when.
