Heath City Council tackles road improvements, water & sewer line issues

0

When the Heath City Council meets on Tuesday, March 3 at 5 p.m. (at City Hall), they'll take up a number of contractor approval items, to wit:

* one with J & T Excavating for improvements to White Rd.

* another with Freeman-Millican, Inc. for design services re. the relocation of water and sewer lines impacted by FM 740 improvements

* another with Cheatham & Assoc. for reconstruction and expansion of the Cove Ridge Lift Station

Also on the agenda is the approval of an agreement memorandum with the State of Texas for the sale of a parcel of land at FM 740 and Chandlers Landing Dr.; an amendment to the Investment Policy for Public Funds; and an authorization for the mayor to sign a joint contract with the elections administrator of Rockwall County for purposes relating to the May 9, 2009 general election.

On the discussion and possible action table, there's a request for a variance that would authorize the landing and take-off of a helicopter during the May 2 Giving Back benefit event, to be held at Dorothy Pullen Elementary School; and another regarding the ground storage tank at the Rockwall/Heath Pump Station.
