Local musicians chosen to International Songwriting Competition finals
The finalists for the 2008 International Songwriting Competition (ISC) were announced recently. Of more than 15,500 entries submitted, 287 made it to the finals in 20 categories. Representing fairly well considering the worldwide scope of the contest, six local songwriters are in this final group. Below is a list naming the category, song, artist, and city from which they hail.

"Tattered Note" (Hey Baby) Annie Dingwall – Plano, TX, USA
Voting for the ISC people's choice award is open until March 31.

Of all the Metroplex area finalists, we ended up being the only ones who placed. We got third place in R&B/Hip-Hop. Yay, us! Now I just need a place to stash all these dubloons...
