American voice actor/director will speak to Burleson Anime Club March 26

Glass is best known for role as Winry Rockbell in the English language release of the anime Full Metal Alchemist.

Actress/Director Caitlin Tiffany Glass will be the guest speaker at the Thursday, March 26, meeting of the Burleson Anime Club at the Burleson Public Library.

Glass is both an American voice actress and director. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Texas at Arlington with a bachelor of fine arts degree in theatre arts in 2004. While she was a college student, Glass was hired by FUNimation as she was touring the studio. Glass is best known for role as Winry Rockbell in the English language release of the anime Full Metal Alchemist. She is also the voice of Triela in Gunslinger Girl and Takane in Burst Angel.

Glass began her first major directing project, Suzuka, in 2006. She recently finished two new shows for FUNimation - Heroic Age and Str.A.In. Strategic Armored Infantry. She also recently reprised her role as Triela in Gunslinger Girl: II Teatrino.

If you are between the ages of six and 12 and want to try your hand at Anime cartoons, don’t miss the Spring Break Anime Cartoon Workshop hosted by the Burleson Community Center. The 90-minute class starts at 4 p.m., takes place March 16-19, and costs $72. Students will spend four days learning about and drawing cartoons in the Anime style. Facial expressions and action and movement will be used to illustrate the scenes. On March 19, the students will take what they learn and draw a large comic book-type scene in the Anime style.
