Fort Worth-based American Airlines’ inflight magazine announces winners of annual contest
For the seventh year, American Way, the inflight magazine of American Airlines, conducted its annual Road Warrior Contest. Contestants were required to share their best and worst travel stories, recount their busiest month of travel from the past six months, and participate in an airport photo scavenger hunt.
This year's winners are:
-- Grand Prize - Shannon Kenitz of Madison, Wis. (2 million Hilton HHonors bonus points to use at any Hilton family hotel in the world, 1 million American Airlines AAdvantage miles)
-- Second Prize - Kathy Fox Frisbie of Flower Mound (a Bose Lifestyle 48 home entertainment system, a Bose Wave music system, and a pair of Bose QuietComfort 3 Acoustic Noise Canceling headphones, an American Airlines Vacations five-night trip for two to the Hilton Papagayo Resort in Costa Rica, and a Panasonic Toughbook W7 laptop computer)
-- Third Prize - Michael Berumen of Falmouth, Mass.; Daniel Melchiorre of Solana Beach, Calif.; and Louis Roden of San Diego, Calif. (an American Airlines Vacations three-night trip for two to the British Colonial Hilton in Nassau, Bahamas, and a Panasonic Toughbook W7 laptop computer)
The five winners participated in a photo shoot at the Caribe Hilton in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The special American Way issue featuring the winners on the cover and throughout the magazine will be onboard all American Airlines flights until March 15.
