Paciugo Gelato in Dallas’ Victory Park closed on Saturday
DALLAS The branch of Paciugo Gelato located in Victory Park closed on Saturday February 28 due to insufficient business at the doomed downtown-Dallas complex.
"There was never anyone down there," said an employee at the West Village store.
This closure follows the closure of N9NE, which follows the closure of Nove. One thing that lots of people say about Victory Park is that it has too many expensive places and not enough cheaper options. But Paciugo was an exception: You could buy something there for under $5, and in addition to gelato, they were serving low-priced sandwiches. And yet it wasn't able to survive.
Other restaurants planned for the area such as a pizzeria that was plotted by Olivella owner Charlie Green haven't seen much in the way of construction.
Paciugo has store openings planned for McKinney, Fort Worth, Grapevine Mills, and the Shops at Legacy, as well as stores in California, Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina.

Just another fine example of how victory park has become a total loser. Ive been saying this for a long time, they need to rethink their strategy, remake it into a Universal Citywalk-type area, then bring in the big guns (HRC/ESPNZone) to bring and keep people in the area before and after gametime, not to mention off event nights.

Why go down to Downtown(I dunno how the parking is in the area) when you can just go to the Uptown location with other shops and a movie theatre?

The Citywalk idea is a good one. Increase traffic through the area! Give people a reason to want to be down there other than game nights. I worry for Kenichi and Luna de Noche. I would love to see an H&M or other giant retailer in the spot where LFT used to be.
