FC Dallas introduces new torture device for goalkeeper training

Last month FC Dallas incorporated two Sidekick ball machines into their training. For anyone who attended a goalkeeper camp in the 90's, this ball machine is like a Juggs machine on steroids. It can be used up to 75 yards away and can deliver a ball between 20 and 70 miles per hour. Not only that, this training implement can be set to put between 0 and 10 revolutions per second on the ball (rate of spin, bend it like Beckham, if you get my drift). The video below was filmed during an FC Dallas training session, as goalkeeper coach Drew Keeshan takes out some stress on 'keepers Dario Sala and Ray Burse.

The machine, created by Seattle Sport Sciences got a tout from Juergen Klinsmann, former West German player, German National Team coach, and current Bayern Munich head coach.
