DENTON The first two nights of Denton’s NX35 Music Conferette drew a small but music loving crowd to the local venues. Spooky Folk played at the Hydrant adding to the relaxed vibe of the coffee shop with their mix of Acoustic, Indie and of course Folk sound. A little ways down the street music from J&J’s Pizza could be heard coming from Dallas born, Daniel Folmer. At the Boiler Room another familiar Denton band, Darcy, played on through the night while at Dan’s Silver Leaf; Austin local Jonny Burke grabbed even more attention from the music scene lovers. On Friday, Jessie Frye played at the Denton Civic Center and Clint Niosi shared his folky tunes with the crowd at Banter.
