Among the more than 3,000 events on Pegasus News this week, here are some of the standouts for folks interested in having better homes and gardens:
Ikea in Frisco has a Spring Break workshop where kids can design a bedroom; make snacks; create a notice board; and plan a flower garden. Sure, most of these classes involve pushing Ikea products on your tykes, but we could do worse than to raise a generation of practical Swedish designers. Two sessions daily.
Dallas Blooms is ongoing at the Dallas Arboretum through April 12. Now that the sun has returned, we'll be going out to shoot a photo gallery sometime this week.

The Colleyville Eco House is "a demonstration project for the US Department of Energy's Building America program to encourage homeowners and builders to live and build in a more fiscally and environmentally sensible manner." They have some interesting videos on their site that give an idea of the types of eco-improvements that you can learn about during their tours.
While you're in a green frame of mind, learn how to be "Yard Smart" at a free seminar on Saturday at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden. There are several sessions, all geared towards helping you have a beautiful garden while respecting water restrictions.
