Newflower Farmers Market to open on Henderson Avenue in Dallas on Wednesday March 18

— Newflower Farmers Market continues to open with great success in Texas. Continuing its 2009 expansion plan, Newflower Farmers Market, famous for its "Serious Food at Silly Prices," will open its third Texas location Wednesday, March 18 at 6:30 a.m. in Dallas. Join the huge grand opening celebration at the all-new Newflower located at 1800 N. Henderson Avenue at Lewis Street.

During a time when many businesses are closing their doors rather than opening them, business at Newflower Farmers Market is blooming. Each new store brings over 100 new jobs in individual markets, giving a huge boost to the overall local economy. In addition to a crop of new jobs, Newflower brings a new style of grocery shopping to Dallas by offering all-natural and organic products at affordable prices. This includes local produce, all-natural meats and seafood, and a huge bulk foods selection. As Newflower continues to grow in the Lone Star State, executives continue to scout out additional Texas locations for openings in 2010 and beyond.

With its launch in Dallas, Newflower Farmers Markets will have three markets in operation in Texas. In November 2008, the market opened their first Texas location in Plano and followed this monumental occasion with an Austin store in February 2009. As Newflower continues to grow in the Lone Star State, executives continue to scout out additional Texas locations for openings in 2010 and beyond.

The Dallas location's grand opening festivities begin at 6:30 a.m. in front of the store with complimentary breakfast items and a special garland cutting ceremony. The store is located at 1800 N. Henderson Avenue at Lewis Street.

Doors will open immediately after the garland cutting at 7 a.m. The first 200 customers on opening day will receive a FREE reusable shopping bag filled with Newflower's healthy groceries, valued at over $50, with any in-store purchase. Customers are encouraged to arrive early, as the line typically forms hours before the store opening at 7a.m.

Enjoy fun, food and great giveaways all day long, as well as free samples from virtually every Newflower department! Additionally, guests can enjoy complimentary chair massages to relieve tired muscles. From 11am to 6 p.m., the grill will sizzle for an on-site barbeque, featuring free samples of all-natural Harris Ranch beef.

Newflower Founder and CEO Mike Gilliland attends all grand openings to greet and thank customers as well as lend a hand to bag groceries, and Dallas will be no different. "We're thrilled to bring our grocery store concept to Dallas, especially in with today's hard economic times. Newflower is the most cost-effective grocery choice, by offering fresh produce and all-natural meats from local vendors at down-home prices. We make healthy cooking easy, with in-store recipe cards, nutritional programs and the lowest prices around," says Gilliland.

Besides having the "silliest prices" in town, Newflower Farmers Market Dallas is also one of the most eco-friendly and eco-conscious grocers in the area. The market implements energy efficient light fixtures, recycled and refurbished equipment, cases and fixtures whenever possible, as well cash registers that use double sided receipts to reduce paper waste by 40%.

Newflower Farmers Market's parent store, Sunflower Farmers Market, operates 23 full service grocery stores throughout Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, and Utah, including the three Newflower stores in Plano, Austin and now Dallas, Texas.

Holy mackerel! I just came from there and it is the best store in the area. I am so impressed. They carry all the same product as Whole foods and probably 25% cheaper. Buh BYE whole foods and bye quick trips to Fiesta.

Nice place. Compact. Good specials. The employees are so kind that they must have been trained at Nordstroms. I shall return.
