Dallas Mavericks 103, Detroit Pistons 101
For three quarters on Tuesday night the Dallas Mavericks maintained a steady lead over the Detroit Pistons who were missing Richard Hamilton, Rasheed Wallace, and Allen Iverson to injury. But then the Dallas let Detroit score 37 points in the final quarter to their 23, nearly giving the game away. Alas, Dallas held on to win 103-101, a score that hardly reflected the first three-fourths of play.
Dirk Nowitzki scored 30, while Jason Terry added 18 to Erick Dampier's 16. Brandon Bass and James Singleton also scored in the double digits. Without key players in the lineup, several Pistons players were given more opportunity to shine. Tayshaun Prince scored 28, while Will Bynum scored a career-high 19. Three additional Detroit players scored in the double-digits to give the Mavs a run for their money.

Travis Bush, says:
Went to this game last night...it was good all the way up to the end. Still the Mavs looked sloppy and missed a lot of easy shots.
