Interview with Jaime Castañeda, Director of Art
Circle Theatre is previewing and opening Art this weekend. Not only does it mark the first show of their new season, but it will also be the first show in their newly renovated theatre space. With Jaime Castañeda directing, it was a great week to feature him again.
Having featured him in the past, we cut right to the chase and begin by talking about his attraction to Art. Although a relatively new piece written in the 90s, I ask how the show related to today's audience. He discusses the rehearsal process and how the actors played around with different accents. As usual, I ask what he wants the audience to walk away talking about.
