Among the featured activities include a live remote with Bob Sturm of 1310 The Ticket and live music located in the stadium’s revamped beer gardens; a happy hour special featuring $1 draft beers; the debut of both a new Kids Zone called Hooper’s Hang Out and the FC Dallas Dance Team; a flyover and post-game fireworks show.
Tickets are available for the March 21 Home Opener including a Family 4 Pack, which consists of four tickets, four pizzas and four drinks starting at $79. For more information, visit www.fcdallas.com or call 888-FCD-GOAL (888-323-4625). Parking for all FC Dallas games at Pizza Hut Park is free.
FC Dallas fans can choose from two beer gardens and a margarita patio during the 2009 season: the Coors Light Beer Garden located on the Northwest corner of the stadium; the Tecate Cantina on the Northeast corner; and the Sauza Margarita Patio on the Southeast corner. In addition to alcoholic beverages, each beer garden/patio will also feature a buffet available for all fans to enjoy at regular concession prices.
On Saturday, March 21, the Coors Light Beer Garden will feature a live remote with 1310 The Ticket’s Bob Sturm starting at 5:30 p.m. and the Tecate Cantina will include the band, Swan Song. In addition, fans will be able to purchase $1 draft beers at all permanent concession stands and at both the Coors Light Beer Garden and Tecate Cantina from 6-7p.m. for a special happy hour.
Hooper’s Hang Out, named after team mascot Tex Hooper, will make its debut at the Home Opener as the place for children under 17 years of age to enjoy poster-making, face painting, and inflatables, including a bounce house all season long. Hooper’s Hang Out will be located on the stage at the north end of the stadium for all FC Dallas games in 2009. Radio Disney will be present at Hooper’s Hang Out on March 21 with giveaways and live entertainment.
Kicking off the Home Opener will be a flyover from Cavanaugh Flight Museum featuring a T-28B Trojan and three AT-6/SNJ Texan planes. Color Guard will be provided by the Wylie High School Air Force Junior ROTC program. In addition, the new FC Dallas Dance Team will be performing at both pre-game and at halftime. At the conclusion of the game all fans will be able to enjoy a post-game fireworks show.
