Black-eyed Pea on Forest Lane in Dallas closed
They done upped the rent.
DALLAS The Black-eyed Pea on Forest Lane just west of Central Expressway (US-75) in Dallas closed two or three weeks ago after the landlord upped the rent, confirms an employee at another Black-eyed Pea.
"Rents are going down everywhere these days but they upped the rent and it was way too high, so they decided to shut it down," said the employee.
Calls to the branch are being routed to the location at Greenville and Lovers; the next-closest location is at Coit and Belt Line.

Just an edit to the above article
"Forest Lane at US"
Probably should read: Forest Lane just West of Central Expressway (US-75)
Thanks,

Its sad when a restaurant, even a chain, closes a location. The demographics for that area has changed over the past several years, im suprised that location has stayed open for as long as it has. I know quite a few doctors/nurses who'll be bummed that they closed.
