Coppell City Council meets to consider big bucks playground expenditure
There's just shy of $200K budgeted for a new playground at Allen Road Park - and it's about to be spent.
When Coppell City Councilfolk call their regular session to order on Tuesday, March 24 at 7:00 p.m. (in City Hall), they'll take up the matter of whether to spend the budgeted $199,983.85 on the installation of a new playground at Allen Road Park. If approved, the project will be awarded to Southwest Parks and Playgrounds.
Also on the agenda is a pair of proclamations, the first of which would designate April 2009 as Cancer Awareness Month, and the second of which would designate April 4, 2009 as Arbor Day.
Citizen appearances are up next, followed by reports from various officials, boards and committees, to wit:
* Keep Coppell Beautiful Board
* Mayor Stover on the Realtor Forum
* Mayor Stover again on Earthfest (April 4th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Town Center)
* Mayor Stover once more into the breach on the Egg Hunt set for April 11th at 11:00 a.m. at Wagon Wheel Park
* Carrollton/Farmers Branch ISD/Lewisville ISD (Councilpersen Tunnell)
