Dallas police department to switch from police code to plain old English
The Dallas Police Department is following the lead of many other police departments by ditching the traditional police lingo and replacing it with boring old English.
No more "7X" -- from now on, they'll say there's "a major accident". No more "10-15"; from now on, they'll say "prisoner in custody". No more "10-19" -- instead, it'll be "return to office". No more "10-0"; nope, they'll use the duller "use caution". And no more "1-Adam-12"! Awww.
