DFW.com touts The Burning Hotels as one of SXSW favorites
Does it help to get the recognition as of the three favorite moments from SXSW when you're from the website's hometown? Well, sure, but given the plethora of choices, it's still kinda nice.
The FWST's pop music critic, Preston Jones, via DFW.com noted that The Burning Hotels, along with The Hold Steady and Rosie and The Goldbug, was one of his favorite moments from this past week's SXSW in Austin. In the piece, their manager mentions that 2009 could be the year this Fort Worth band takes off, given their involvement with the Bandslam movie, starring High School Musical's Vanessa Hudgens, that's coming out soon.
This Saturday, The Burning Hotels will open for Black Tie Dynasty's last show EVER at the Granada Theater.
