Dallas ISD’s Townview Jazz Ensemble to accompany Shelley Carrol at Meyerson Symphony Center Wednesday March 25

DALLAS — Dallas Independent School District award-winning Townview Jazz Ensemble will accompany recording artist Shelley Carrol at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 25 at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center.

The performance is part of Townview’s initiative to keep jazz alive in urban cultural communities. The project also seeks to use established jazz artists as mentors through workshops and special learning experiences.

During the event, Townview will celebrate the milestone achievement of its six schools attaining exemplary status. The evening will include performances by the Townview orchestra, concert band, choir, and theatrical dance team.
