TCU Brite Divinity School adds Episcopal Studies program
The new Episcopal Studies program announced for Texas Christian University's Fall Semester '09 will provide an opportunity for those aspiring to Episcopal priesthood a chance to fulfill their requirements for a Masters of Divinity without leaving North Texas.
Rev. Fred Barber, rector of the Trinity Episcopal Church, has been named part-time acting director of the program, classes for which will begin on Aug. 24.
The Rt. Rev. Edwin F. (Ted) Gulick Jr., provisional bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth, is in full support of the program, which will follow the model of other denominational study programs already in place at TCU's Brite Divinity School. These include Baptist Studies, Presbyterian Studies and United Methodist Studies.
For further information, contact the Brite School at 817-257-7577.
