This Saturday (April 4) from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m., the City of Coppell is sponsoring a "Clean Up, Fix Up" recycling/donation event to coincide with their Earthfest observances.
The location for bringing your usable household goods (for donation) or useless old electronic devices (for recycling) is the Town Center Elementary School at 185 Heartz Rd., where representatives of Metrocrest Social Services will accept the household goods while a Waste Management crew takes the recyclable calculators, clock radios and CRT-type stuff off your hands. The Brinks Document Destruction folks will also be standing by to provide document shredding services.
NOTE that the electronic equipment collected will be processed by GEEP Texas at their local facility, and that there will be a cash fee to drop off monitors ($5) and televisions ($10 - $30, depending on size).
NOTE ALSO that hazardous waste, construction debris and yard trimmings will not be accepted during the event.
