Dallas bars going through the usual reality check in dealing with smoking ban
Dallas' bar scene is experiencing the usual adjustments that accompany a new ban on smoking.
The Dallas Environmental and Health Services has issued 47 citations over the past couple of weeks to smokers and bar owners who don't enforce the rule. Both are subject to $200 tickets.
A couple of bars -- Clicks Billiards, The Lodge -- say there's been a misunderstanding about their status but other bars insist they can't enforce the ban. Most complain that the smoking ban is going to put them out of business, maybe even in the next month or two, that's how bad things are, man.

I'm wondering how The Pearl is doing. Rick is obviously against the ban for personal reasons, but he mentioned that it might actually increase business for them.
