Denton polling stations will be open as scheduled for May 9 elections

Municipal and School Board Elections will be held at the originally scheduled polling centers on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at the following locations from 7 a.m-7p.m.:
District 1 – MLK Recreation Center, 1300 Wilson
District 2 –North Branch Library, 3020 N. Locust
District 3 – North Lakes Recreation Center, 2001 W. Windsor
District 4 - Denia Recreation Center, 1001 Parvin
The recreation centers will be open for voting only on May 9, 2009. All children and adult programs are tentatively scheduled to resume May 11, 2009.
Early voting will continue to be held through May 5, 2009, 7pm at Main City Hall, located at 215 E. McKinney.
City officials will continue to monitor the swine influenza threat in Denton and may take further steps as needed to minimize the risk of contracting this infection in our community. Citizens are encouraged to continue to monitor the city website (www.cityofdenton.com), Denton Television (DTV) and other city communications for any status changes to these events.
