Sunday afternoon's game got off to a promising start, as the Dallas Mavericks lead at the end of the first quarter by six points. But Nene Hilario came out screaming for the Nuggets, which helped them stay in the game early, giving Carmelo Anthony time to warm into the game, before he took over in the fourth quarter. By then the game, which had gone back and forth a couple times, was clearly in Denver's favor as they ran away with the 109-95 win.
Dirk Nowitzki scored 28 points with 10 rebounds, while Jason Kidd, Josh Howard, and Jason Terry each scored 15. Nene and Anthony scored 24 and 23, respectively.
