District 13 Dallas City Council candidate Brint Ryan drops lawsuit against opponent Ann Margolin
Dave Levinthal calls their match-up "the most expensive district-level race and among the nastier in city history".
DALLAS District 13 Dallas City Council candidate Brint Ryan dropped his lawsuit contending slander, libel, and defamation against Ann Margolin, his opponent. In return, she will no longer bring up the lien placed by the IRS on his home in 2008. DMN reporter Dave Levinthal, who calls their match-up "the most expensive district-level race -- and among the nastier -- in city history" -- says that Ryan and Margolin reached an agreement "early Monday morning" after a weekend of negotiations. "Early Monday morning" -- so that's like late Sunday night, I guess. Like, 1 a.m. in the morning early.
