Coppell Community Garden hosts free informational event on organic lawn care
As part of their ongoing Spring Education Series, the Coppell Community Garden will host a free talk on organic lawn care on Saturday, May 16 at 1 p.m. in Coppell Town Center (255 Parkway Blvd.).
Speaking will be Jay Newman, owner of AJ Southwest in Fort Worth, who is recognized as an area leader in organic lawn care. In no way coincidentally, his company offers a complete line of organic landscaping fertilization and all-natural pest control products.
Attendees will learn about best practices for fertilization, watering, weed control and building soil health. They'll also benefit from a cost analysis comparing chemical-based lawn care methods with organic ones.
(Or, you could always skip the whole grassy lawn thing and just plant boulders.)
Those with an interest in obtaining more information can email KDB@ci.coppell.tx.us.
