Two Arlington-area schools shut down due to probable swine flu
Both Charlotte Anderson Elementary (in the Mansfield Independent School District) and the Sonshine Bible School (operated by Arlington's Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ) are shutting their doors temporarily due to "probable" cases of swine flu: one at each facility.
One additional probable case of the virus has turned up in a student from Arlington ISD's Veda Knox Elementary, but after consultation officials decided to leave that school open.
Classes are set to resume at Charlotte Anderson on May 11, and will be closed through May 9 at Sonshine Bible.
As noted, the City of Arlington now has a swine flu hotline to disseminate up-to-date information on all the latest and greatest swine flu happenings. That number is: 817-575-2846.
