Denver Nuggets 117, Dallas Mavericks 105

The Dallas Mavericks put themselves in a rough spot after going down by two games in the best of seven Western Conference semifinals against the Denver Nuggets. A failed pass towards the backcourt in the third quarter, picked up by the hustle of Chauncey Billups, marked the end of the game for Dallas, as they couldn't regain the lead. The eventual 117-105 rout leads them into game three at the American Airlines Center on Saturday, May 9. Turnovers have been the undoing of this team, specifically in game one when they racked up 20, and could again be the deciding factor at home.

Dirk Nowitzki scored 35 points with nine rebounds, while Jason Terry added 21 to the tally. Three Denver players scored in the 20s, Nene Hilario and Carmelo Anthony at 25 each and J.R. Smith with 21.
