Fort Worth ISD to resume classes Friday, May 8
Fort Worth Independent School District will reopen schools for students on Friday, May 8, following the recommendation of the Tarrant County Public Health Department.
All Central Office employees and campus administrators, maintenance, custodians, and cafeteria managers will return to work on Wednesday, May 6.
All teachers and all other campus-based personnel, including cafeteria workers, will return on Thursday, May 7 and students will return on Friday, May 8.
School-sponsored events that had been canceled this weekend may be held after all if sponsoring groups wish to hold them, and arrangements can be made.
District-sponsored events, including the Youth Forum, the District Volunteer Recognition Event and the District Walk for Life, will remain canceled.
