Dallas-based ACS expands into the Dominican Republic
DALLAS -Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. is expanding its global workforce by adding 150 new positions in Santo Domingo of the Dominican Republic. With the hiring of these additional employees, the ACS workforce in Latin America/Caribbean now exceeds 18,000.

“With a highly skilled and multilingual workforce, Latin America and the Caribbean are key growth areas for ACS,” said Tom Blodgett, executive vice president and group president at ACS. “Our investment in the Dominican Republic will provide jobs in the community and help our clients around the world.”
ACS currently operates 21 facilities in 10 countries in this region. ACS services include customer care, collections, transaction processing, and IT development and are provided to companies in the telecommunications, healthcare, manufacturing, transportation and pharmaceutical industries. ACS entered the Latin American region with its expansion in 1996 into Mexico.
The new employees in the Dominican Republic will perform customer care and management work in order to accommodate increased business for the Fortune 500 company. Employees will provide bilingual customer care services and will be handling activation and payment calls.
