Dallas ISD selects five finalists for 2009-2010 Teacher Assistant of the Year
DALLAS Five finalists have been selected for the Dallas Independent School District’s 2009-2010 Teacher Assistant of the Year.
The goal of the Teacher Assistant of the Year program is to recognize the importance of the many contributions of campus teacher assistants for the dedication and support they provide to students, teachers, parents, and the community.
A selection committee, composed of representatives from staff development, curriculum and instruction, the Dallas PTA Task Force, support employee organizations, teachers, teacher assistants, and principals, selected the finalists from more than 100 nominations and interviews with 20 semifinalists.
The finalists for the 2009-2010 Dallas ISD Teacher Assistant of the Year are:
●Euna W. Davis - S.S. Conner Elementary School
●Vickie Sallee - Harry C. Withers Elementary School
●Youlonda Green-Fuller - Annie Webb Blanton Elementary School
●Gloria Scott - Ronald E. McNair Elementary School
●Claudia Ortega - Irma Lerma Rangel Young Women's Leadership School
The Dallas Independent School District’s 2009-2010 Teacher Assistant of the Year will be announced at an awards program sponsored by H-E-B Central Market on Thursday, May 21, at 6 p.m., at the Women’s Museum at Fair Park, 3800 Parry Ave.
