It was two hours too late for the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday when the league finally conceded that Antoine Wright did indeed intentionally foul Carmelo Anthony in the closing seconds of game three of the Western Conference semifinals. The officials missed the call and Anthony sunk a three to win the game for Denver and put the series at 3-0 in the Nuggets favor. But Dallas can hardly pass the buck on this loss, as they failed to pull away by more than six points in the match, neglecting to take advantage of Denver's off-game.
Dirk Nowitzki scored 33 points and had 16 rebounds in the loss that put Dallas 0-3 in the playoffs. Josh Howard scored 14 and Jason Kidd scored 13 and assisted on five in the loss that put Dallas 0-3 in the playoffs. Chauncey Billups scored 32 while Carmelo Anthony scored 31 in the win that put Denver 3-0 over Dallas in the playoffs.
