Fans of the popular roots-rock quintet, Micky and the Motorcars, will have the opportunity to be a part of the band’s first live album when they attend the June 26th performance, Live at Billy Bob’s Texas. The CD/DVD combo will capture the band as they perform some of their greatest hits and fan favorites as the newest addition to the “Live at Billy Bob’s Texas” series. One audience member will also go home with a guitar signed by the band.

The Motorcars have been talking about recording a live album for years but wanted to wait until the perfect opportunity presented itself. “Billy Bob’s is the biggest and best venue in Texas, with an amazing sound quality and a crowd that always listens and responds with an energy we can all feed off of,” said drummer Gary Braun.

The band's latest album, Naive, debuted in the Billboard Heatseakers Chart in August 2008 and spent seven months on the Americana Chart, peaking at #8.

The "Live at Billy Bob's Texas" CD and DVD series currently features over 35 recordings from country legends, including: Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Gary Stewart, John Conlee, David Allan Coe, and Asleep at the Wheel as well as a younger set of hard hitters like Cross Canadian Ragweed, Jack Ingram, Pat Green, Kevin Fowler, Randy Rogers Band, Jason Boland & The Stragglers, Stoney LaRue and many more.

Micky and the Motorcars will take the stage of the world’s largest honky-tonk, Billy Bob’s Texas, Friday, June 26 at 10:30 p.m. Tickets are available thru Billy Bob’s box office (817) 624-7117 or through Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.com. No reserved seating – all tickets are general admission at $12. For additional information on Micky and the Motorcars visit www.mickyandthemotorcars.com.
