Money conference to explore psychology of lucre May 15-16

DALLAS The Dallas Institute of Humanities and Culture is hosting a Money Conference, featuring numerous experts in the financial and psychological fields to explore various aspects of money on Friday and Saturday, May 15-16. This conference will feature Dallas Institute Fellows and guest speakers who will lead participants in exploring the psychology of money in light of the current economic crisis. Speakers and participants will explore various aspects of money, including how the power of money influences thought and behavior, why money plays so dominant a role in our lives, and what its future might be. Is it possible – psychologically – to avoid the torturous extremes that the financial system puts us through?
Friday will begin at 6 p.m. with a reception and dinner, followed by a program with interactive panel and audience discussion at 7:15 p.m. Saturday’s conference is from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. (breakfast and lunch included), featuring various presentations by: Dr. Gail Thomas, “The Nature of Money,” Scott Burns, “The Promises of Money,” Hazel Henderson, “The Future of Money,” and Dr. Robert Sardello, “Feminine Mysteries of Money.” To register for one or both days, call (214) 871-2440 or visit www.dallasinstitute.org.
