“Beer babes” in Cockrell Hill have parents up in arms
Women who dance around in little more than bikinis outside of beer barns in Cockrell Hill in order to entice customers are angering neighborhood parents. Seems the beer barns are located directly across the street from C.M. Soto Jr. Elementary, giving students there quite an eyeful.
The beer barns are located more than 300 feet from the school, which adheres to the city ordinance, and there is currently no law prohibiting the owners from advertising in such a manner.

John McClelland says:
As said on the Jagger Show, the irony is the parents have no problem with a beer store next to their school. Only the scantily clad women.

This kind of reminds me of a small town highway that had a triple X theater set back a good way from the service road. I must have driven by it a thousand times with my daughter never even noticing it. Then a local church decided to wage war against the evil ones and took out a huge billboard that said something along the line of - Porn is Bad! This my daughter noticed immediately.
Thank you, righteous ones, for prompting my six year old to ask “What is porn?" Now that is a conversation that could have been put off for at least a few more years!
Just one example of do-gooders doing more harm than good.

Cockrell Hill is such a small town that their selling alcohol more than 300-feet from any protected entity is nothing short of a miracle. Personally, after years of living within walking distance of the aging enclave, I might gladly trade the convenience of proximate alcohol sales for them to simply annex Dallas for a better road system.
