Concert preview: The Dears at Hailey’s in Denton (May 16)
For those keen to the indie music scene, Saturday night at Hailey's Club is for you. The Dears are a band at the end of what appears to be a healthy transition into a new age of Canadian rock music. Hailing from Montreal, The band has been hard at work in recent months in promotion of their new album Missiles which has received a ton of critical acclaim and for good reason. The seven piece band will be headlining a night of fantastic music from all over the indie scene.
One of my personal favorite bands right now is also playing on Saturday night at Hailey's. That band is Great Northern and they are only a few weeks removed from the release of their latest album, Remind Me Where The Light Is, the follow-up album to one of the best albums of 2007, Trading Twilight for Daylight.
