Dallas-based KDC launches national medical development program
DALLAS Dallas-based KDC, one of America’s leading commercial real estate development and investment firms, is launching a new national medical development and acquisitions program.
KDC has hired 11-year medical industry veteran Nathan Golik to lead the new division. Prior to joining KDC, Golik served as vice president of the The Cirrus Group, one of the nation’s largest medical development companies, where he was involved in transactions valued at more than $300 million. His transaction history includes medical office buildings, acute care hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers and inpatient rehabilitation hospitals.
“Our current pipeline includes opportunities in Texas, California, Colorado and North Carolina,” said Golik, a senior vice president of KDC. “There are great opportunities to partner with the hospitals and assist them with monetizing real estate assets, such as office buildings and outpatient centers.”
In July 2008, KDC announced plans for aggressive growth and introduced new corporate partners E2M Partners and Sammons Enterprises.
“We determined that one of the strongest growth opportunities is the medical industry, where many hospital systems have significant capital tied up in real estate,” said Tobin Grove, KDC president. “Once KDC has worked with the hospitals to free up the capital, the hospitals can then focus on their business strategy and financial planning.”
