The Dallas Margarita Society will host its 22nd annual Charity Golf Classic Friday, June 5, 2009 benefiting Dallas Children's Charities.
The golf outing will be held at Los Rios Country Club, 1700 Country Club Drive, Plano, TX 75074. Golfer check-in is from 9:00-1030 a.m. with a shotgun start at 11 a.m.
Entry fee is $200 per player. Entry fee includes lunch, practice balls, green fees, cart, one raffle ticket, one Dallas Margarita Ball invitation, free gifts and libations with food and surprises all over the course. There is a 144-player limit, first come, first served. Sponsorships are also available, and current Dallas Margarita Society/Dallas Children's Charities sponsors are provided recognition and signage at the golf course.
Pre-paid reservations are accepted on a space-available basis with confirmation at check-in. The entry fee is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Golfers are encouraged to register early.
This year’s tournament continues Dallas Margarita Society best-dressed hole contest, with a Hawaiian theme. “Each hole host will decorate their designated hole as a fun-in-the-sun oasis, complete with food and drink. The fun never stops,” said tournament chairman John Kranz. “All players will vote on to which group put together the most entertaining hole.”
The golf format is the traditional four-person scramble. Prizes will be given to first, second and third place team members, as to the winners of closest to pin, straightest drive and longest drive contests. There will also be a putting contest, hole-in-one contests and a raffle. Prizes include trips, golf equipment, dinners, and gift certificates.
