Richardson Indian restaurant Kebab N Kurry to open second bigger branch in Addison

Kebab N Kurry, the Indian restaurant off US-75 in Richardson, is opening a second, larger branch in Addison, on Belt Line Road at the southeast corner of Montfort, in the space previously occupied by Amado's Mexican Cuisine, which closed about a year ago.

"We are going to open over there in a couple of months," says owner Amarjeet Duggal. "We were looking for a second location and we tried a lot of places before we decided on Addison. We thought there was a need for an upscale Indian restaurant."

It'll be the same well-regarded Indian food, but the space itself will be a step up from the modest Richardson branch.

"We are in the process of remodeling," he says. "We want to give it lovely interior. We're going to break up the space into separate areas, with a dining room, big bar, a separate lounge. It has a nice patio. Moreover, we are going to have a private dining room with media facilities."

Meanwhile, Amado's still has its branch on West FM 544 in Plano, on the way to Murphy, which has been open for three years.

Kebab N Kurry is one of the first Indian food places that I tried. I've always enjoyed it, but some of my Indian friends say it's just okay. Glad to hear one is opening up in Addison close to my work.

I'm excited. I hope the new one is BYOB also. Indian restaurants usually are.

I am so looking forward to their new location. I have been going there since the 90s, love the place, the food is the best I 've ever tried anywhere. I get to travel a lot for work, and this restaurant serves the best Indian food. I just can't wait since it will be close to my work as well, and I will get to try their lunch buffet more often.
