Children’s Medical Center in Dallas to send tweets during surgery

Okay, now we may be going too far: Children's Medical Center in Dallas is planning to send out tweets during a boy's transplant surgery. Three-year-old John Gilbreath is set to receive a kidney transplant from his father, Chris. The hospital claims it will be the first to tweet during transplant surgery (apparently, tweeting during other surgeries is now commonplace).

So, is there a designated tweeter or will the surgeon be stepping away to update his status? How much does one get paid to stand around tweeting while others are, you know, saving the kid's life? If you're interested, you too can follow Children's Twitter feed. Just pray that one of them doesn't read, "omg, cant believe i cut there."

Well, you know, with any new technology we have to explore where it will take us. Some paths will lead to new knowledge, some paths will end up being dead ends, and some parts are this is retarded, I cannot believe they are doing this jesus christ I hope this doesn't make the history books.

So I guess Grandma in Denver can be a nervous freakin' wreck from the comfort of her kitchen glued to her Treo.

This reminds me of the eighties when microwave ovens were still novel, Sam Kinison had a routine about Elizabeth Taylor standing in front of her microwave screaming "Hurry!"

I mean doesn't anyone have a dram of attention span anymo - omg brb
