UPDATED: Dallas Morning News reporter Dave Levinthal to become director at Center for Responsive Politics in Washington, D.C.
Updated 05:24 p.m., May 18, 2009
DALLAS A note from Dave Levinthal, whose reporting on Dallas City Hall has been such a bright spot for the Dallas Morning News:
"Actually got a job offer today - and took it. I'll be a director at the Center for Responsive Politics, the government watchdog folks who run OpenSecrets.org. I'll run their journalism shop, blog, write, be spokesman and otherwise cause trouble."
UPDATE: He's leaving on July 3, he told Robert.

Sad thing is that after many email correspondences I met Dave tonight and didn't even realize it until he was gone. Godspeed, newsman...
